It's pure black but with shines, implying his eyes are dark which gives a sense of darkness to it versus the cutesy theme you were going for. Removing the shines may do the trick, as it'll further solidify the cartoony feel. It's your choice though ┐(￣ー￣)┌

i guess so :3 that sounds a bit like overanalyzing it though ^^;

either way, I have been doodling this guy for days. Sorta like a personifcation of me. the other ones have been waaay more emo though @_@;

I am gonna be experimenting hell though :3 I have figured out why I don't really like anime that much anymore.

overanalyzing is kinda fun (though pointless mostly xD)

Check mai journal. I am not saying I am going to drop anime entirely, (as it has good traits of course) but I am just not going to be using that style for now at least.
